Synoikismos Seminar 3: Greek religion in all its aspects - 20/04/2016, Liège (Belgium)
The last session of the Synoikismos seminar will be held at the University of Liège in April 2016. It will give PhD students working on subjects related to Greek polytheism the opportunity of presenting their research in its current state of progress.
The session will be both open and multidisciplinary: belonging to the field of the history of religion, the subject also allows one to focus on the specificities of the documents used as evidence (literary sources, inscriptions, iconography, archaeology, etc). The presentations will take place infront of an audience featuring members of the Thiasos (“Religion grecque antique”) research unit at the ULg, and Prof. Vinciane Pirenne-Delforge, research director at the FNRS and editor of the periodical Kernos. This will help to foster fruitful and instructive interactionsduring the seminar.
