We are delighted to announce that the third annual UWICAH postgraduate Classics & Ancient History conference will be taking place at Cardiff University on Saturday 21st November, 2015. The organising committee invites proposals of no more than 300 words on any topic from postgraduate students of Classics, Ancient History, Egyptology, Ancient religions, Archaeology of the Ancient World, Early Christian studies, or Ancient Near Eastern studies; from the Bronze age to Late Antiquity.

UWICAH (The Universities in Wales Institute of Classics and Ancient History) was founded to promote the study of Classics and Ancient History in Wales. The postgraduate conferences of the previous few years have been great successes in this regard, and we hope for a high turnout of postgraduates studying at institutions in Wales. However, we also encourage abstract submissions and attendance from postgraduates from all institutions.

UWICAH’s strength is the opportunity it gives for networking and showcasing the breadth of research of postgraduate students. To best facilitate this, the conference has no main overarching theme, instead providing the opportunity for postgraduates to share their ongoing research.

The abstract deadline is October 9th. Please include details of your institution and level of study. Abstracts and questions are to be directed towards UWICAH15@gmail.com.
