The Ancient World Mapping Center at UNC-Chapel Hill seeks paper proposals for Mapping the Past, a conference

on digital mapping and its applications to the study of ancient history. We are looking especially for individual

or collaborative projects addressing such topics as transportation and communication systems, boundaries and

borderlands, G.I.S. and archaeological evidence, and the applications of G.I.S. to pedagogy and public scholarship.
