The Roman Finds Group is now inviting papers for their Autumn Meeting in September 2016. This time focus will be on the archaeology and finds of southern Britain, with four sessions designed to showcase the compelling research being carried out in the region. The sessions open to submission are as follows:

Session 1: Finds from Rural Southern Britain

Session 2: Finds from Urban Southern Britain

Session 3: Finds from Roman London Lightning

Round: Small Finds, Short Papers (10 minute papers)

Papers for Sessions 1, 2 and 3 should last no longer than 20 minutes and will be followed by up to 10 minutes of questions, while those for the Lightning Round should be 10 minutes long, followed by questions at the end of the session. In both cases titles and abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted to RFGReading2016@gmail.com by 17th April 2016. However, potential speakers are very welcome to contact us to express interest and discuss their contribution.

We would additionally like to take this opportunity to open a call for posters. We particularly welcome contributions from undergraduate and Masters students who wish to showcase their completed or ongoing research to a wider audience. Completed posters, in standard A1 size, should also be emailed to RFGReading2016@gmail.com for consideration by 17th April but again please get in touch if you have any questions.
