CALL:
We invite applications from researchers working on the Ancient Near East to present papers focused on the application of geographic information systems (GIS) or remote sensing broadly defined, including both aerial (UAVs/drones, kites, balloons, LiDAR, satellite) and terrestrial (geophysics, photogrammetry, mid- or close-range laser/light scanning) methods of recording and analysis. While the papers are expected to discuss the use of these methods in addressing significant questions about the cultures of the ANE, they can focus important issues in methodology (e.g. data collection, analysis). Applicants must send in their abstracts through ASOR's online application system by March 1, 2017 (see http://www.asor.org/am/2017/papers.html).
