CALL. 15.05.2017: Responsible exegesis of Song of Songs - Berlin (Germany)
A conference on Song of Songs will take place in Berlin, Humboldt University, from the evening of August 3 until August 5, 2017. This conference is held immediately before the start of the international SBL Berlin conference, for the sake of colleagues who want to attend both events, as a back-to-back series of conferences. The title ”Responsible exegesis of Song of Songs” has been chosen for this conference. Papers that include substantial exegetical and methodological reflection are particularly encouraged.

All papers may afterwards be submitted for publication. People are free to publish where they would like to, but an agreement with the Journal for Semitics continues, namely to publish this conference’s papers there. (Submissions will undergo the usual peer-reviewed process before publication.) If you would like to accept this invitation by joining us to share your research, please suggest a paper title with a short abstract describing your intentions with the paper, at your earliest convenience but no later than 15 May 2017 to mailto:stefan.fischer@hu-berlin.de All attendees will be responsible for financing their own travel and accommodation.
