Current Research on Assyrian Landscapes - 18-19-20/05/2017, Poznań (Poland)



Current Research on Assyrian Landscapes" is a working meeting of Assyrian Landscapes Research Group. The aim of the meeting is:

• to discuss the results of field campaigns conducted so far by four survey projects forming the Assyrian Landscapes Research Group, • to compare methodology of research in each project, • to present a preliminary analysis of collected data-sets, • to obtain a wider background for interpretation of data by comparison to relevant results of other ARLG projects, • to discuss further trajectories of research on Assyrian landscapes. During three days, as much as 35 lectures on the realization of particular ALRG projects will be presented by the members of these projects. There will be as well presentations by invited members of the Antiquities Service of Kurdistan, and by invited guests representing other archaeological projects currently carried out in provinces of Erbil and Duhok of Kurdistan.

Participation is possible upon a registration fee of 250 PLN (approx. 45 EUR) covering coffee breaks, lunches and participation in the social event on Thursday.
