CALL:
The TRAC 2018 Call for Sessions is now open, and will close on the 30th of June 2017. Applicants will be contacted by email with the results of their proposal by the end of July and a Call for Papers will follow in August 2017. We invite all submissions that critically engage with aspects of current theory and practice in Roman archaeology and scholarship. Some session themes we are brainstorming include: frontiers, peripheries, Roman Scotland, Late Antiquity, built environments, cultural heritage, and theoretical approaches to new technologies. Sessions inside and outside these themes are welcomed.
Please consider:
A TRAC session should consist of 6 papers, to be delivered over 3 hours.
Papers may last no longer than 20 minutes, in order to allow enough time for discussion.
All papers must be presented in English.
Session organisers should consider incorporating a chair or discussant in order to facilitate debate.
We are also accepting applications for lightning rounds and workshops.
Those wishing to organize a session for TRAC 2018 should fill out the attached template.
N.b. You may suggest up to 3 speakers (out of the total of 6) for your session. If your session is selected, these suggested speakers will still need to apply through the subsequent call for papers.
