Following the earlier Call for Sessions, the TRAC 2018 Local Organising Committee has selected 11 sessions and 2 workshops for the final conference. Each of these sessions will consist of 6 papers and we are now inviting paper proposals to fill these sessions. Papers will be assigned a 30 minute slot and it is recommended that speakers should not talk for more than 20 minutes to allow time for questions. We encourage applicants to contact session organisers to discuss their planned paper but all proposals have to be submitted to the hca-trac2018@ed.ac.uk e-mail address. The final decision about which papers are accepted will be made by the session organizers in discussion with the TRAC 2018 Local Organising Committee. Wells) 4D – Remembering and Social Memory in the Roman West (Ralph Häussler) 4E – Boundaries, Borders, and Frontiers: Modern Methods and Frameworks for Ancient Phenomena (Rory Nutter, Meg Moodie, Rob Collins, Kai Radloff) 5D – Workshops – 1) The Praxis of (Roman) Archaeology: Alienation and Redemption (Jane Weekes, Andrew Gardner) 2) A Place for an Experiment in Roman Studies (Tatiana Ivleva) 5E – 2nd General Session 6D – Crafts: Everyday technologies in the ancient world (Adam Sutton, Owen Humphreys) 6E – Egypt on the Move: New Meanings of Space and Place in Local Contexts (Stephanie Pearson, Lindsey A. Mazurek) Please note: This is a participative conference where more than half the delegates are speaking, so all delegates are expected to pay the conference fee. This helps keep the fees as low as possible and also maximises participation and engagement.
