Digital Humanities and Ritual Space - 19-20-21/10/2018, Rethymnon (Greece)
The second international meeting of the Unlocking Sacred Landscapes (UnSaLa) network, will be held from 19-21 October 2018 in the Laboratory of Geophysical-Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeo-environment (Melissinou & Nikiforou Foka 130) at Rethymnon, Crete. The meeting will focus on digital approaches both to ritual space and to artefacts relating to ritual practice and cult. The terms ritual and cult are used broadly to include sanctuaries, temples, and churches, as well as the domestic and funerary spheres of life.

The Unlocking Sacred Landscapes (UnSaLa) Network announces that a restricted number of PhD student/early career scholars bursaries (60 euros each) will be offered to cover the conference participation fee for the Digital Humanities and Ritual Space conference to be held in Crete 19-21 October, 2018. This fund was made possible following an award kindly allocated to our Network by the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies.

Interested scholars are kindly requested to send their CV and a short paragraph to papantog@tcd.ie detailing how they will benefit from their participation in the Crete conference by 1 July 2018.
Priority will be given to PhD students and independent early career scholars presenting at the conference.
