The 15th Conference of the Classical Association and FIEC - 04-05-06-07-08/07/2019, London (England)
We are delighted to announce that the 15th International FIEC Congress will be held in London, 4-8 July, 2019, hosted by the Classical Association, the Hellenic Society and the Roman Society, in collaboration with the Institute of Classical Studies, London, UCL, KCL, Birkbeck College, Royal Holloway University of London and Roehampton University. The Congress will take place at the Institute of Education (University College London) in Bloomsbury, close to the British Museum, British Library, and the University of London’s Senate House.

The Classical Association will *not* be operating its traditional programme of conference bursaries. Instead, the CA is making a substantial contribution to the conference budget which will have the effect of reducing the basic conference fee to £195 and making it possible to offer a concessionary conference fee of just £48. The concessionary conference fee will be made available to: *registered students; *postdocs not in academic employment; *staff on temporary one-year or two-year academic contracts; *schoolteachers.
There is no limit on numbers and these rates are available to all attendees, regardless of country of residence or nationality. Applicants should register via the conference website www.fiec2019.org in the normal way.
If you are claiming the concessionary rate, you will be asked to supply the email of a referee who can confirm your status (e.g. head of department, head teacher). The above rates will apply to bookings made not later than 31 March 2019, late booking rates will be slightly higher. We would ask list members to publicise the conference among those who might benefit. In particular, we hope to attract a wider range of postgraduates to the conference.
