The 2019 EuARe Annual Conference call for proposals is now open!
You can make a proposal for a paper, a panel, a book presentation and a film or documentary projection with discussion. Proposals can be submitted through the following forms: The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 15th, 2018, at midnight (23.59, GMT+1).
All European languages are accepted; nevertheless, in order to reach the widest possible audience, only one language is admitted within the same working session. As translation is not provided, the use ofEnglish and the preparation of hand-outs in English when choosing another language are encouraged.
We strongly recommend panel proponents to increase their audience by spreading the word about their participation in the Conference and by advertising the meeting on their Institutional websites and in newsletters. The acceptance of proposals is subject to the evaluation of the European Academy of Religion Executive Committee. E-mail notification of the acceptance will be sent within a couple of weeks after submission. If you have questions, please contact us: eu_are@fscire.it

Info about the 2019 Annual Conference
The 2019 Conference will be held in Bologna from Monday 4th to Thursday 7th March, 2019. Fscire will be the organizing institution. The program will be composed of keynote lectures and working sessions (panels, book presentations, film or documentary sessions).
In the location of the event, a display space reserved for publishers will be set up. Publishers are invited to organize book presentations with authors and to advertise their participation on their websites and in newsletters in order to draw public attention to their works and encourage attendance.
The Academy offers 100 travel grants up to 300 € to Students, PhD Students, Post-Docs and Early Career Scholars. The number of travel grants may rise according to the generosity of the donors. This funding is also available to those who would like to attend the meeting as auditors, i.e. without offering a conference paper. All those concerned can submit a request to eu_are@fscire.it. A curriculum vitae, a motivation letter and an estimated travel budget is required as a part of the application.
Special conference rates will be negotiated with city hotels. The meeting attendees will be given the possibility to enjoy discounted hotel rates by booking their stay in advance. Information will be available at https://www.europeanacademyofreligion.org/travel.
Child care
EuARe is happy to provide childcare service for participants coming with children. We are in touch with some agencies in order to provide the best quality service. EuARe Membership Last year the EuARe started granting memberships. Members benefit from discounted conference rates for the member year Conference (up to 5 people, in case of collective membership), patronage on scientific activities, the possibility to advertise call for papers, grants, fellowships and scientific activities on our website, and are invited to join and participate in the Academy General Assemblies, which meet every year during the Annual Conference.
