Workshop on Tebtynis, From the site to archives and collections - 21/02/2019, Pisa (Italy)
The University of Pisa and the Scuola Normale Superiore invite all colleagues, and those interested in Roman Egypt and Graeco-Roman culture, to participate in this workshop. The colloquium – hopefully the first of many - aims to define the status quaestionis of research on Tebtynis and its material culture. The idea is to highlight on-going research on Tebtynis, focusing on the history of the archaeological excavations, archival-papyrological documentation and recent field activities as well as the investigation of written and non-written material culture, in order to create a stable network between the institutions involved.
