ARAM Society for Syro-Mesopotamian Studies is organizing its Fifty Second International Conference on the theme of The Decapolis: History and Archaeology, to be held at Oxford University, 27 TH – 29 TH JULY, 2020. The conference will start on Monday July 27 th at 9am, finishing on Wednesday July 29 th at 7pm. Each speaker’s paper is limited to 45 minutes, with a additional 15 minutes for discussion.

The Scientific Committee of the Conference cannot finalise your proposal without an abstract, which should reach us before December 2019. Not all papers which appear on the first draft of our programme will be accepted, for the Scientific Committee can only confirm your participation in the conference after reading your abstract. Your abstract should be around 300 words, and it should contain the main sources of your research as well as the main points of your talk.
All papers given at the conference will be considered for publication in a future edition of the ARAM Periodical, subject to editorial review. If you wish to participate in the conference, please contact our Oxford address.
