Dear Colleagues, The Classical Association of South Africa invites abstracts for a panel on women in Plutarch at its 33rd biennial conference, to be held in Stellenbosch, 7-10 November 2019. We welcome papers that incorporate interdisciplinary and new theoretical approaches to the study of women, sex, gender and sexuality, including the reception of Plutarch’s work. Keynote speaker: Judith Mossman (Coventry) Please submit an abstract of approx. 300 words to Lunette Warren at lunettel@sun.ac.za. The deadline for proposals is 31 May 2019.
