Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted to Dr. Alex Loktionov (al621@cam.ac.uk) by no later than 12 noon GMT on 15th January 2020 to be assured full consideration. The full call for papers, and a link to further details on the conference website, can be found here: <https://budgesymposium3.files.wordpress.com/2019/10/cfp-compulsion-and-control.pdf> It should be emphasised that the conference is particularly keen to secure participation from academics relatively early in their careers, and that a very broad definition of 'compulsion and control' will be employed. This having been said, it is envisaged that important contributions will be made by scholars at all career stages and anybody with a relevant proposal is urged to submit an abstract.
