The focus of this session is on current research related to the Byzantine Near East. Summaries of ongoing excavations, thematic analysis of multiple sites, analysis of relevant material culture, issues of connectivity, theoretical approaches, and the synthetic analysis of multi-season projects are all welcome contributions to this session. The deadline for submission of abstracts is February 15, 2020.
