It is aimed atMAandPhD studentsfrom Italy and abroad, who are planning respectively to apply for aPhD programmeor apost-docin the international academic environment. The submitted research projects (in English, Italian, French, Spanish) will be peer reviewed among participants and discussed (in English) with an international team of senior scholars in order to assess their strengths, their weaknesses and their potential. We believe that discussing projects in a collective network of tenured and non-tenured scholars from different academic environments can help improving one’s projects and make them more meaningful in an international context.

It is aimed at MA and PhD students from Italy and abroad, who are planning respectively to apply for a PhD programme or a post-doc in the international academic environment. The submitted research projects (in English, Italian, French, Spanish) will be peer reviewed among participants and discussed (in English) with an international team of senior scholars in order to assess their strengths, their weaknesses and their potential. We believe that discussing projects in a collective network of tenured and non-tenured scholars from different academic environments can help improving one’s projects and make them more meaningful in an international context.
The workshop will take place online on January 13 to 15 2020, in three sessions of two hours each. In each session a paper will be given by one senior scholar and within a seminar research proposals will be discussed.
The theme of the workshop is: The borders within, the borders without. Frontiers in the ancient and medieval Mediterranean. Permeabilities and connectivities
Projects must be submitted (through the website) no further than 3 January 2021. Particularly interesting projects, coherent with the scientific objectives and standards of the participating institutions might be considered for a future application within the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.
